My name is Stephen Byrne and I am a self-taught artist working primarily in pastels and oils. I am originally from Ireland and have lived in Berkshire, UK since 1986.

Many of my paintings are of scenes or subjects from around the UK and Ireland, and also from some of the beautiful countries and places I have been lucky enough to visit. The range of subjects extends from landscapes to seascapes, still life to animal portraits, and I endeavour to use colour and light to bring you the viewer, into the scene and to allow you to feel as well as see, the subject.

 

I have exhibited with 124 Studios for Cookham and Maidenhead Arts Trail and Maidenhead Art on the Street. My first solo exhibition is being shown at Emerald Gallery in Chalfont St. Peter from 1st to 29th October.
